About Tokskin Notes:
Hi! I’m a Korean-American skincare enthusiast who was born in Korea and have spent the second half of my life living in the U.S. Growing up between two cultures has shaped the way I approach beauty and skincare—especially when it comes to Korean products.
In Korea, visiting a dermatologist is relatively affordable and accessible, and various skin treatments are considered part of everyday self-care. But I quickly realized that in the U.S. and many other countries, this isn’t always the case. That’s why I’ve naturally become more focused on finding skincare products that actually work—products that help me care for my skin at home without the need for professional treatments.
Over the years, friends, coworkers, and even strangers have often asked me, “What skincare do you use?” I started to notice just how often people complimented my skin and wanted product recommendations. Even though K-beauty is becoming more popular worldwide, I realized that many of the truly good Korean skincare products are still unfamiliar to most people outside Korea.
As someone with a deep love for K-beauty, I’ve tried countless products—not just for myself, but for my husband, my family, and friends, each with different skin types and concerns. I’ve researched, tested, and compared, and along the way, I’ve built a personal list of products I can genuinely recommend with confidence.
That’s how Tokskin Notes began.
